I almost forgot to tell you...

We had a very amazing milestone in the Cordier house in March and I forgot to tell ya'll about it!

Lily is fully potty trained! Yay!

We set aside a whole 2 weeks to start training her, figuring we'd do a sort of potty boot camp and just power through it all together. We bought tons of underwear, carpet cleaner, rags, pull ups, waterproof pads... anything that we thought we'd need. I set up a sticker and stamp chart to help motivate her, as Lily loves nothing more than a reward :) So we were ready for anything...

We didn't need any of it! As soon as we explained what was going to happen she gave it a try with complete success. She had a couple of accidents that morning just figuring out the timing but after that she used the potty exclusively with very few complications. We still gave her stickers and stamps to show her how proud we were but they definitely were not needed for motivation as I thought they might be.

We were torn about the night diapering situation, as I have read many times how night training happens much later and it's pretty expected that she'd have to use diapers for bedtime. Lily hated the idea though, it was like as soon as we told her she didn't need them anymore she really took it to heart. So we had to force it on her for the last month or so. Just this week however I gave in and she's not even wearing those anymore and it's been fine. She wakes me up if she needs to go in the middle of the night but some nights she's dry all night long. It's some kind of miracle!

Lily never ceases to amaze me. She adapts so well to change, no fuss necessary. She embraces growing up, moving on to new things. I couldn't be more proud of her!
